As their Financial Accountant, you will play a key part within the finance team where you will be responsible for the accuracy of the accounting function for the UK. Key duties will include:
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of monthly financials in line with local requirements and working to set deadlines - this will include budget variance reporting, bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting. 
  • Taking responsibility for specific areas (e.g. VAT)
  • Assisting in the preparation of statutory reports and tax filings
  • Preparation of information for internal and external auditors as and when required and;
  • Other duties required in such a role.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record in a similar role and will be part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent, with first rate IT skills in particular Microsoft Office – advanced Excel pivot tables/look-ups.  You will also possess first rate commercial acumen with excellent communication skills at all levels, in particular assisting non-finance staff to make informed commercial decisions.  The ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines is also a pre-requisite, as you would expect.
