We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Controller, for an established company in Westbury with finance and supervisory / management experience for a 6 to 12 month fixed term contract. Duties to include::

  • Sales Ledger experience supporting quotes, invoicing, credit notes and refund
  • Purchase Ledger experience supporting purchase orders, invoices, credit notes and statement reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliation to trial balance in multiple currencies
  • VAT returns, including a good understanding of import and export VAT and VAT to foreign suppliers and importers
  • Nominal ledger and particularly a firm understanding of profit and loss/ balance sheet codes
  • Payroll – a basic understanding of PAYE/NI and employment law, as well as auto-enrolment pension schemes
  • Cash flow administration and control, especially the ability to prioritise payments and think ahead to support varying needs of the business
  • Experience in Sage Accounts 50, Sage Payroll and Sage pension
  • Costing of products and projects, particularly with respect to shipping, tax and import duties
As the Accounts Controller, this role is of significance to the business and requires a level-headed and thorough approach. Final accounts are signed-off through an appropriate audit from a qualified accountant who is both local and who is generally available/retained by the business to provide the Financial Controller with support on financial and procedural queries.
