White Horse Employment retains REC Audited Status for 10th year

Trowbridge based recruitment agency, White Horse Employment, has retained their Audited status with the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) – an accolade they’ve held since 2006, and currently one of less than only 60 agencies nationwide to do so.

The agency based at Fore Street was assessed against the requirements of the Employment Agencies Act, the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 and the REC’s Code of Professional Practice.

This initiative run by the REC, the professional body for the UK’s £31 billion private recruitment industry, is the most comprehensive audit of its kind. It provides successful recruiters with an accreditation which confirms the agency is conducting its business ethically, in accordance with legal requirements and with the REC Code.

Established in 1988, White Horse Employment specialises in the placement of permanent and temporary staff in commercial and professional roles within many industry sectors. The agency has 10 members of staff headed by Beverley Glover. Commenting on achieving REC Audited status, Beverley says:

“This award represents the cornerstone of our business which for nearly two decades has been built on professionalism, quality and best practice. Our business is people and people are our business, which is clearly the formula for our continued success and we wish to thank everyone for their enormous contribution to helping us achieve the REC Audited official recognition.”

REC Chief Executive, Kevin Green added: “Congratulations to White Horse Employment for achieving REC Audited status. In doing so they join an elite group of recruitment agencies across the UK that have achieved this high standard.

“This accreditation recognises that we have rigorously audited White Horse Employment and found that it is performing to the highest professional standards and represents best practice in our sector.”

What is the REC Audit scheme?

The scheme is the recognised gold standard for recruitment businesses; it demonstrates adherence to the highest standards - a clear step in showing hirers and jobseekers that the business is serious about building the best recruitment industry in the world, its goes right to the core of best practice.

This comprehensive audit goes much further than just compliance, requiring owners to operate best practice in areas such as customer service, staff development, diversity and client management. The process starts with an online diagnostic, followed by a tailored on-site expert audit, checking not just documentation but liaising with staff about processes and systems.
