JOB TITLE: Concrete Operative 
LOCATION: Near Frome
SALARY & BENEFITS: £10 ph ( Should expect to make circa £25k with overtime per year)
HOURS: 06.00- 14.00pm and 14.00-22.00pm( Will predominantly be 6am-2pm)  
 
  • You may be required to work shifts.  Sufficient notice will be given.
  • Saturday morning work is expected.  Again, sufficient notice will be given.
  • You must be self-sufficient in travelling to and from the factory due to location

 

The right type of candidate will be practical, hardworking enjoys manual work in a dirty environment, health and safety conscious and flexible to work on a 06.00-14.00pm and a 14.00-22.00pm shift when required but predominantly days on a 6am to 4pm structure.

Duties of the role include:

  • Report directly to the Production Supervisor.
  • Comply fully with the company Health and Safety, QA and environment Policy.
  • Read and understand the company notice board for information that may be important to the safe running of your department.
  • You must be able to communicate fluently in English.
  • To operate a safe working environment within your area of responsibility.
  • Work in a small team of lead men/operators within a production department.
  • Efficient use of plant and equipment so that you produce stock at the lowest cost possible and keep standard costs under control.  Scrap to be kept to a minimum as detailed in the KPI’s set by the Production Supervisor.
  • To undertake such training whether internal or external to meet the demands of the business and comply with our legal and statutory obligations.
  • Working knowledge of risk assessments and SSOW within your department and the works. Training for this will be given.
  • Working knowledge of the company 3rd party QA scheme.  Training will be given.
  • Keep adequate material stocks to allow production in line with the production schedule.  These limits will be set by the production supervisor.
  • Look after the company assets and not undertake any procedure that may result in damage to plant and equipment.
  • Report all accidents.
