SALARY: £60,000 - £65,000
HOURS: Full-time, Permanent (Hybrid Working - 1/2 days in the office)
 

White Horse are proud to be partnering with one of the UKs leading aviation companies, supporting them in the appointment of a new Financial Systems & Controls Manager. Due to substantial growth following the COVID pandemic, and innovate re-structure within the finance team, this is an exciting time for somebody to start this new position and make it their own.

 

This will be a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the business, manage and develop all aspects of the company’s financial systems, supporting the finance team and broader business to make full use of the systems’ capabilities.  It will also involve managing and developing financial controls across all business cycles and to support continuous improvements in financial processes.

 

Key duties include:

 

  • Manage the core finance system, MS Dynamics 365, alongside the other key finance system, Adaptive Planning.

 

  • Support the finance team and wider business to utilise the full capabilities of the company’s finance systems and deliver enhancements to existing business processes.

 

  • Maintain the flow of data between other company systems (notably Airport 2020, Fleetmaster, Chauntry, Dayforce) and finance platforms, developing automated integrations wherever possible.

 

  • Streamline finance processes and procedures to drive efficiencies and improve control.

 

  • Support the development of reports and dashboards for finance and business users.

 

  • Support the monthly close, forecasting, budgeting and planning processes, ensuring that financial systems are leveraged to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.

 

  • Manage day to day system change processes such as master data management and chart of accounts.

 

  • Manage system access and system recertification processes.

 

  • Ensure robust financial controls are in place, maintaining and updating process maps and risk and control matrices (RACM) for all financial cycles.

 

  • Support the year end audit process from a systems and controls perspective.

 

  • Develop and implement an annual financial control testing and validation programme.

 

  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships.
 

Essential Requirements:

 

  • Strong academic record, highly numerate, evidence of commitment to CPD.

 

  • Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or QBE.

 

  • Experience of supporting financial systems in organisations with a complex systems landscape.

 

  • Excellent analytical skills, understanding system problems and identifying solutions.

 

  • Extensive experience in using and optimising MS Dynamics 365.

 

  • Strong analyst with a passion for data and reporting.

 

  • Good understanding and hands-on experience of finance processes particularly in relation to the month end close and integrations with other business systems.

 

  • Highly IT literate with experience of using technology to drive improvements financial processes and controls.

 

  • Strong communication skills to interpret finance data and processes for non-financial colleagues.

 

  • Tenacious and resilient in your work, with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.

 

  • Good organisation and prioritisation skills, able to work under pressure, proven experience of working to deadlines, and able to multitask.
