Are you a HR professional? CIPD qualified, or equivalent and looking for your next career challenge? If so, we have an exciting HR Officer role for a 9 to 12 month maternity contract working either 4 days (30 hours) or 5 days (37 hours) per week.

Our client is looking for a HR Officer/HR Manager to join the team, at their office near Bath. This is an all-encompassing role where you will have involvement in the recruitment, contract management and terms and conditions of all staff: admin of payroll (providing information for the external payroll service); give guidance on employment legislation; look after Safeguarding, look after starters and leavers and be responsible for maintaining central records, including DBS checks, references and compliance.
If you like a role where you can have full involvement with the organisation and be a key player then this role will give you invaluable experience. Your background will consist of relevant experience as an HR Officer/HR Manager, the ability to work autonomously, be able to deal with difficult or emotive situations, handle a number of projects at the same time and meet deadlines. You must be confident in dealing with people at all levels, have proven experience of providing guidance regarding employment legislation and be willing to handle confidential information relating to all employees at all levels. A background in and educational environment is advantageous (but not essential).
