Are you a Production Scheduling professional seeking a new challenge? Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Production Scheduler to support the procurement and production teams to ensure all production machines are scheduled to ensure OTIF of 98%+ is achieved on an initial three month temporary assignment. 


The ideal candidate will need to be experience and a highly organised individual who can plan and monitor effectively. They will need to be willing to learn and understand production processes in order to plan/schedule effectively. They will be required to work with other departments including production, Procurement, Sales and Warehousing. They must be customer and target driven and will need to be able to manage and prioritise their workload and work well under pressure. Lastly, they must be able to communicate issues effectively to the operations team so the team ca work together to plan and resolve therefore, a team working mentality is vital in this role. 
Your duties will include, but not limited to:
  • Monitor trigger points
  • Ensure zero stock outs 
  • Manage bespoke and large orders within lead times to meet customer expectations 
  • Ensure full utilisation and maximum product efficiency 
  • Minimise number of machine change overs 
  • Ensure OTIF at 98%+ 
  • 1.5 week schedule for each machine 
  • Liaise with other departments within the company 
  • Work to deadlines to ensure the company meet both customer expectation and company KPI's 
You will need:
  • Have a minimum of two years experience within a similar environment
  • Have a good understanding and ability to operate MRP systems (ideally familiar with Epicor or SAP) 
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining stock accuracy 
  • Excellent organisational skills, accuracy & attention to detail
  • Good IT skills : MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Previous experience working in a busy environment, managing differing customer sectors/expectations. 
  • Fully conversant with ERP systems
  • Able to work to deadlines
