Are you an experienced IT Systems Engineer looking to join a unique organisation? Our client, based in Shaftesbury, is looking for an exceptional individual to join their organisation and support their IT infrastructure as the business continues to grow.

As their IT Systems Engineer, you will play an integral role within the IT department where your main roles and responsibilities will include (but not be restricted to) the following:
  • Management of Server Software, Hardware and backups for all servers, PCs, printers, WAP’s, firewalls and all other peripheral devices
  • Maintaining of all Anti-Spam, Virus and email protection
  • Managing, Monitoring & Maintaining the company’s Active Directory (user account setup / permissions / Groups), network and software infrastructure and resolving faults
  • Maintaining Backups of key applications and devices
  • Providing technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence
  • Supporting Exchange 2016, VMware, Windows Servers 2008/2012, Active Directory, Windows 10 and thin clients
  • Undertaking PC and server builds
This is a “hands on” support role, as such the successful applicant willpossess excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication and team working skills, with a drive to provide excellent support to our staff at all levels. You should strive to take full ownership and responsibility for the systems you support and implement. You will bring your excellent troubleshooting skills to the business, with the initiative to resolve any issues you encounter and see them through to completion.
To be successful in your application for this role it is essential  to have knowledge of the following:
  • VPN
  • VLans
  • Clustering, Replication & DR
  • MS Office 2013, MS Windows 10
  • VMware 5.5
  • Windows Server 2008/2012
  • Microsoft Exchange 2016
  • Active directory, DNS & DHCP
Desirable knowledge of the following would be advantageous:
  • HP Networking (WAN/LAN, IP, DNS, SNMP, Routing)
  • Panasonic VOIP PBX
  • Sage 200 2013, Arc Serve R16, Barracuda anti-spam & ESET Endpoint.
  • SonicWall appliances
  • Dell T series servers
  • Terminal Services
  • EMC VNX San’s
