White Horse Employment are working with an independent highly reputable accountancy practice based in Central Somerset helping them with their search for an Assistant Accountant on a full time basis to join their team.
This is a very varied role in which no two days will be the same as you will be working on accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies where you will be advising individuals as well as business on their taxation matters. This is a great opportunity for someone to work in a positive environment where full training will be provided so that you can progress your career.
A day-to-day will include:
- Preparation of financial statements for a variety of clients ready for manager/partner review from source records and accounting software
- Preparation of personal, partnership and company tax returns as well as preparation of VAT returns via MTD platforms
- Liaise with HMRC regarding various queries
- Deal with ad hoc client queries via email and phone
- Various admin tasks- filing client records, secretarial forms and submissions, organising paperwork, etc.
We are looking for someone who has started or completed their AAT Level 4 with good accountancy practice experience as well as good knowledge of different accounting software’s.
