White Horse are proud to be partnering with Bluemay Ltd on a retained basis, to support their search for an Accounts Assistant. Bluemay is a third-generation business who have been established for over 50 years, producing high-quality engineering components through plastic injection moulding, and is well known for its supportive, long-serving team and people-first culture.
This role will give you exposure across the full finance function, with on-the-job training provided by the current post-holder before they retire in 2026. You’ll be involved in everything from sales and purchase ledgers to payroll and month-end, making it an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Managing sales and purchase ledger processes
- Posting journals, reconciliations, and supporting month-end close
- Taking responsibility for payroll processing and absence reporting
- Providing ad-hoc support to the finance team
What we’re looking for:
- Transactional finance experience (sales/purchase ledgers)
- Good knowledge of accounting principles
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to work independently
- Strong communicator, comfortable dealing with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
- Payroll experience useful but not essential
