About the Role
As the HR Assistant, you’ll contribute to maintaining a compliant, approachable and effective HR service. You’ll support recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, policy updates, employee communication and day-to-day people processes, helping managers deliver on key objectives.
You’ll also support the creation of a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace by ensuring HR practices and training remain aligned with current legislation and best practice.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Administration & Compliance
- Draft offer letters, employment contracts and other employee correspondence.
- Support pre-employment checks and reference processing.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records in line with legislation and GDPR.
- Assist with updating and creating HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare HR reports such as headcount, absence, turnover and training analysis.
- Communicate with external bodies where necessary for HR-related matters.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Co-ordinate the recruitment process, supporting managers throughout.
- Assist with onboarding processes to ensure positive new-starter experiences.
Employee Support & Engagement
- Support managers with performance, conduct and absence processes.
- Distribute internal communications, updates and staff information.
- Provide day-to-day support to the HR Manager and leadership team.
Planning, Organisation & Communication
- Organise workloads effectively and meet deadlines.
- Support HR briefings and provide clear, constructive communication.
- Build strong, professional relationships with colleagues and partners.
Policy, Procedures & Best Practice
- Ensure all employment, H&S, financial, GDPR and company policies are adhered to.
- Promote inclusive, respectful practices across the business.
- Support regular audits and take corrective action where needed.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE, THE £30,160 SALARY IS THE FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT SALARY
HOURLY PAY WILL RANGE FROM £12.21 TO £14.50 BASED ON EXPERINCE
Hours: 15 hours/week, but could be more if needed
