The business operates across 10+ legal entities, including 3 trading entities, and has grown both organically and through acquisition. This is a critical hire to strengthen financial control, group reporting, and technical accounting capability.
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the end-to-end finance function, with a strong focus on group accounting and technical matters. There is also genuine scope to contribute to finance transformation, as systems are not yet fully integrated and consolidated reporting processes need development.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of financial control across a multi-entity group
- Preparation of group consolidations
- Acquisition accounting, including original investment accounting
- Accounting for goodwill and intangible assets
- Handling complex technical accounting issues
- Statutory accounts preparation and audit management
- Improving systems, processes, and group reporting infrastructure
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Likely a second mover from practice, or an SME Financial Controller with full-function ownership experience
- Strong background in group accounting and consolidation
- Confident with technical accounting in a fast-growth environment
- Comfortable working in a less structured, scaling business
