White Horse Employment are exclusively partnering with a high-growth retail company in the Bath area, who are looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant. This newly created and exciting opportunity involves a variety of transactional finance responsibilities, reporting into the Financial Controller.
DAY TO DAY YOU WILL BE:
Manage customer accounts, ensuring timely debt payment and reconciliation of accounts
Resolve invoice and delivery queries, providing necessary documents and taking payments over the phone
Use appropriate methods (telephone/email) to collect outstanding debt and create credit notes where needed
Set up customer payment plans according to company policy and prepare files for litigation if required
Process and sort departmental and director’s post, ensuring timely invoice entry and approvals
Prepare twice-monthly BACS runs, set up currency payments, and send remittance advices for payments
Perform daily bank reconciliations, verify expense accuracy, and assist with reporting and data gathering
Provide administrative support, handle petty cash, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
REQUIREMENTS:
Studied at degree level or AAT qualified
Strong IT skills Good communications skills
Strong organisational skills
Analytical with an eye for detail
Wanting to study towards Accountancy qualification
