White Horse Employment are proud to be continuing our partnership with a reputable and long-standing business based in Trowbridge to recruit a Management Accountant to join the finance team.
This role offers the chance to step into a broad and influential position within a dynamic commercial setting. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial insight, strengthening controls, and supporting the development of the local finance team whilst partnering closely with operational leaders.
The Role
As Management Accountant, you will:
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts with meaningful commentary for senior stakeholders
- Ensure the integrity of the balance sheet through regular reconciliations and robust review processes
- Oversee VAT submissions and support year-end audit requirements
- Maintain and enhance financial controls, ensuring compliance and best practice
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small transactional finance team
- Manage cashflow processes, banking activities, and intercompany accounting
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing clear variance analysis
- Work collaboratively with non-finance teams to offer commercial insight and guidance
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency
About You
- Proven experience producing management accounts in a commercial environment
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior finance staff
- AAT qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent experience)
- Solid technical grounding in financial reporting, controls, and VAT
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
