White Horse has been engaged exclusively by a global software group, to support their search for a Payroll Lead for one of their entities. Working within a large group structure, this role will see you responsible for overseeing and delivering accuracy and scalability to the payroll and HR operations across six European countries.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll sit between HR, Finance, and IT. You will own payroll processes end-to-end, partnering with external providers, and ensuring systems, data, and workflows are compliant, reliable, and continuously improving.
What you’ll do:
This role is a real blend between administration and data integrity, compliance, and data governance. As such, your role will be varied and will see you working across multiple departments within the organisation.
Some of your typical duties will include:
- Own payroll operations, inputs, controls, and provider coordination
- Ensure accuracy and governance across HR and payroll systems
- Manage onboarding/offboarding and core HR admin processes
- Deliver payroll and HR reporting, insights, and reconciliations
- Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements across countries
What you bring:
- Experience working with external payroll providers (multi-country a plus)
- Strong Excel and HR systems expertise
- Solid understanding of payroll data, controls, and compliance
- Fluent English & French (although not crucial, it is highly desirable and massively boost your chances of success within this role)
- A structured, detail-driven mindset with a passion for improving processes
